14k Vintage Mandarin Character Seal

This is a visual example of the evolution of Chinese writing (the earliest dates as far back as 1600 to 1100BC). The writing system started with pictographs, eventually evolving into more abstract images. Similar to signet rings and fobs, name seal leave a signature mark.

Description:  A vintage 14k tested name seal in warm yellow gold. The pagoda pendant springs open to reveal the name. There are six traditional Mandarin characters most likely associated with the owner of the stamp. 

Measures: 13.5mm x 29mm (without bail, each)
